Compact

Its small size (465х377х265 mm) and low weight (12 kg) allow the ROV to move underwater even in confined spaces and make the underwater vehicle easy to transport on land.

Autonomous

A powerful battery provides the ROV with up to 4 hours of autonomous operation (up to 8 hours optional). The ROV does not require any power supply equipment on land, making it truly autonomous. The operator’s mobile workstation also operates in autonomous mode.

Powerful

The ROV has a maximum operating depth of 100 meters, optionally up to 300 meters.

The SmartDive ROV has six brushless motors. Two of them are designed for vertical movement, while four are for horizontal movement.

The maximum forward speed is 1.5 m/s (up to 1.8 m/s, if you want).

FullHD camera with wide viewing angle

The ROV is equipped with a FullHD camera with a 105° viewing angle. It is located on a tilt mechanism with a ±80° vertical deviation angle. Additionally, we can install a 4K camera.

Powerful and adjustable lighting

The basic configuration of the SmartDive ROV includes 2 LED lights with a total light output of 10,000 lumens. We can also install 2 additional lights, increasing the total light output to 20,000 lumens. Each light has a beam angle of 95° underwater.

The operator can control the lights remotely: switch them on and off and change the light output.

Enhanced Safety

The SmartDive ROV, equipped with a sonar system, enables rapid inspection of a vessel’s underwater hull.

Using a side-scan sonar, the operator can survey large areas even in conditions of low visibility. When suspicious or unusual objects appear on the sonar image, the ROV is directed to them for visual verification using its
Full HD camera.

When paired with an underwater acoustic positioning system, the operator can track both the ROV’s position and the location of detected objects in real time.

The key advantage is that inspections are carried out without diver involvement — the operator works safely from the surface, significantly improving overall safety levels.

Cost Reduction

Every hour a vessel is out of service for inspection results in financial losses. Traditional methods, such as dry docking or using divers, require substantial time and resources.

The SmartDive ROV allows for detailed underwater hull inspections quickly, efficiently, and at minimal cost. This reduces downtime and supports timely maintenance and repair decisions — improving vessel profitability.

Regular inspections using the SmartDive ROV also help determine the optimal schedule for hull cleaning and painting. Marine biofouling increases fuel consumption, while regular monitoring of the hull’s condition prevents unnecessary expenses.

Additionally, the use of SmartDive ROVs helps detect structural defects at an early stage, reducing repair costs and extending the vessel’s service life.
