A look at commercial underwater works across different industries and conditions.
In September 2025, specialized underwater works were carried out in the Daugava within the territory of the Riga Passenger Port, clearing shipping lanes and recovering submerged objects.
As part of the project, GeoDiving recovered eight large submerged objects from the riverbed, including oversized logs, a rock, a metal boom, and fragments of metal structures.
The recovered objects weighed between 50 kilograms and one tonne. The work was completed at depths of 7–12 metres in the Riga Passenger Port shipping lanes.
In September 2024, GeoDiving successfully completed underwater construction works in the Lielupe River in Jelgava as part of a bridge reconstruction project.
We delivered the full underwater work cycle: manufacturing and installing temporary formwork structures at a depth of 10 metres, carrying out underwater concreting for the bridge supports, and dismantling and recovering all temporary structures after concreting was complete.
In total, 200 construction elements of various sizes, weighing between 30 and 100 kilograms, were installed, concreted, and subsequently recovered.
